ERA Installer Scheme - Customer Terms and Conditions

ERA INSTALLER SCHEME - Customer Terms and Conditions.
Dated:  11/02/2019

The ERA Installer scheme is open to all UK residents.

To find an ERA Security product installer within your postcode area, please log on to www.erahomesecurity.com and complete the information request.  You will be able to select the type of installer you need; choosing between someone who specialises in traditional security products such as locks, or smart security products such as alarms or someone who specialises in fitting both.

Your Information

By sending us your details you are agreeing to:

  • ERA using your data for the purpose of recommending an ERA Security Installer;
  • if you request, ERA passing your data to an ERA Security Installer for the purposes of connecting you; and
  • ERA contacting you to request feedback on an ERA Security Installer in relation to work undertaken.

Your information will be held in accordance with our privacy policy https://www.erahomesecurity.com/privacy-policy
Your information will not be used for marketing purposes and we will not contact you about ERA products unless you tick YES to the marketing question on registration.

Once you have sent us your details you will see a list of recommended installers in your area including details of their published feedback.  On selecting an installer, you are then able to choose whether you would prefer to contact them directly, or whether you would like ERA to send your details to the installer for them to contact you.

If you click to say you would like the installer to contact you, you are agreeing for ERA to pass your contact details to the installer.

ERA Recommended Security Installers

The installer you connect with is an installer local to you who has agreed to supply and install ERA products and may or may not have received ERA training. Before adding an ERA Recommended Security Installer to our database, ERA has carried out the following checks:

  • confirming they are a verified business;
  • checking they have a current Disclosure and Barring Service certificate;
  • checking they have current Public Liability Insurance with cover of £2m per claim.

Installers are removed from the ERA Installer scheme if:-

  • ERA receives three instances of negative feedback;
  • the installer fails to comply with the ERA Code of Conduct; and
  •  installers do not comply with the terms of the ERA Installer scheme.

ERA also rely on feedback, MLA Approved Membership and the provision of ERA training to give an indication of installer suitability, however new installers to the scheme may not have had chance to accumulate feedback and this, or absence of MLA status or an ERA training icon, does not indicate an inferior installer.

Feedback

An important part of being an ERA Recommended Security Installer involves ERA having the ability to verify feedback as a quality check on workmanship and to ensure feedback is from a genuine customer.  You will be asked to confirm that you are happy to be contacted to verify your feedback and for any feedback you provide to be published.

Your chosen installer should provide you with two options for leaving feedback.  You can either complete a freepost form or ERA will email you after two weeks from either choosing an installer or carrying out a search, asking you to rate them and their performance.  Please be honest in your feedback. ERA reserves the right not to publish any feedback which it considers may be defamatory.

Your contract with the installer

Any agreement for installation is reached between you and the installer, who is responsible for setting his costs.  Please make sure the terms of your agreement are clear and agreed between you and the installer before you proceed with any installation services. ERA will have no liability to you for the provision of any services pursuant to a contract with the installer.
The ERA Installer scheme is intended to provide helpful recommendations for installers suitable to install ERA products.  ERA will not be liable if, for any reason, the Installer scheme is not available or is withdrawn.  ERA is not liable for any damages arising in contract, tort or otherwise from the use or inability to use the Installer scheme, or from any action or decision taken as a result of using the scheme.
